Care Guide
Spending time with your pet requires more than just love and interaction; attentive care and the right approach are equally important. Choosing the right clothing for your pet, as well as the little details of daily care, can make their lives more comfortable and fulfilling. Here are some practical tips to help you better care for your furry companion.
How to Measure Your Pet's Size
Accurate measurements are crucial when choosing clothing. Common reference areas include chest circumference, neck circumference, and back length:
Chest Circumference: Measure around the widest part of your pet's chest (usually behind the front legs). Make sure the measurement fits snugly but not too tight, leaving 1–2 fingers of room to allow for easy breathing and movement.
Neck Circumference: Measure around the widest part of the neck (usually where the collar is attached), also leaving 1 finger of room to avoid constriction.
Back Length: Measure from the base of the neck (behind the shoulder blades) to the base of the tail, excluding the tail length. When measuring, keep your pet in a neutral position to avoid bending or stretching, which can distort the measurement.
Measuring Tips
Use a soft measuring tape to measure along curved lines. If your pet is active and difficult to calm down, two people can measure together, or gently measure your pet when they are relaxed.
After recording their measurements, compare them to the size chart and choose the most suitable size. If you are between two sizes, it is recommended to size up for comfort and flexibility.
Pet Dressing Tips
Choose according to the occasion: Dress your pet in cold weather, rainy days, or when you're outdoors to protect them from getting cold or wet. Avoid overheating in hot weather.
Gradual: When dressing your pet for the first time, start with short periods to allow your pet to gradually acclimate.
Safety First: Avoid clothing with small accessories or long straps to prevent entanglement or ingestion.
Watch for Reactions: Regularly check for signs of rubbing, redness, swelling, or unusual behavior. Remove the garment immediately if any discomfort is detected.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean according to the instructions and avoid high temperatures, bleach, and ironing to extend the life of the garment.
Basic Pet Care and Daily Recommendations
Health Management:
Regularly monitor weight, coat, skin, and oral health.
Maintain a balanced diet and adequate exercise to keep your pet active.
Hair Care:
Choose a comb based on coat type and comb regularly to prevent tangles.
Bathing frequency varies depending on breed and living environment, but generally should be every 2–4 weeks. Avoid excessive washing, which can dry out the skin.
Behavioral Observation:
Pay attention to changes in daily behavior, appetite, and bowel movements. Consult a veterinarian promptly if any abnormalities are detected.
When introducing your pet to new environments or clothing, introduce them gradually to minimize anxiety.
Travel and Safety:
Use an appropriate leash or harness when outdoors to prevent wandering or accidents.
In cold or rainy weather, provide your pet with warm or waterproof clothing for increased safety and comfort.
